Message by the CEO

AJMF as a non profit organization may be a drop in an ocean but it has set for itself an ambitious agenda of contributing significantly to the Millennium Development Campaign by preparing Pakistani youth for the global leadership and active citizenship in the multicultural world. We have high hopes and great expectations with sincerity of purpose as our guiding principle. We are very positive that our innovative interventions which include Youth Leadership Initiative, Global Citizenship Program, Youth & Millennium Development Campaign, Rural Poverty Reduction Strategy, Women Empowerment, Rural Development, Millennium Development Research Center and Early Childhood Care, will make a lasting impact on our vision of reducing poverty and ensuring sustainable development in Pakistan, thus sharing the vision of UN and the global community as a whole.

We at AJMF are of the firm belief that if the dream of a globalised, peaceful and equitable world is to be materialized and the targets set in MDGs are to be achieved then we will have to reach out to marginalized masses at the very gross root level. It is them who are the real stakeholders. They have the talent, the potential and the urge to move out of the abyss of deprivation and despondency. But they lack vision and a clear sense of direction. In Pakistan, we take this task unto ourselves to give them the lead they have been looking for and harness their human capital to its limits. AJMF will stand out as a beacon of light for those who are struggling to discover their destiny.

In the end I take this opportunity to appeal to the national and international civil society and other public & private organizations to stand by us and help us achieve our goal of a developed and prosperous Pakistan that plays an active part in ensuring a safer and more equitably shared future of humanity on the planet in its third Millennium.

With many sincere regards,

Muhammad Asad Tahir Jappa
(Chief Executive)
